Dear Flist,

I am in a quandary.

On the one hand, I don't like reading political posts on my flist. I don't like the idea of making them, myself. I don't want to go imposing my ideas on anyone else.

On the other hand, I firmly believe that our country needs to be taken in a better direction. And I believe that Obama is our best chance of getting that. And I regret not having done better in '04. It was a close race. In the time since the race, nearly half of the people who voted for Bush have decided that they no longer approve of him. If even a small fraction of them had only realized sooner, things would have been very different. If people like me, had spoken more frequently and effectively, maybe it would have been enough.

Then again, how likely am I to change your minds? If you don't already agree, that is? And what about the significant portion of you who don't even live in the US?

Yes, it is my journal and I can talk about whatever I want. But I need help figuring out what's right.

Thoughts?

I would hate for someone to tell me not to post something political I feel about. People can skip over a post (I'm sure people skip over some of mine all the time), but it's ultimately your LJ. If you feel it's important, go ahead and blog about it. Of course, I suspect we might disagree quite a bit at times, but that's not a problem. I'm not against seeing the other point of view, even if I don't agree with it. :)
