1. Have you see the new Burger King Spongebob ads?

Yes, I know I could embed. But then, for courtesy, I'd have to put them under a cut. And then you'd have to click a link to load them anyway. So... what's the point?
WIF?
I mean, Spongebob alone is bad enough. But it's a kids' show! And they're promoting it with that? I mean, it's not shocking or anything. I'm not that much of a prude, and there are much worse ads in the "exploit women's sexuality to sell a product" department. But... I don't like Spongebob or exploitation, and putting the two together just adds a whole new level of wrong.
/me goes off to watch Table Be Round (Robot Chicken, TV MA) instead.
2. Public notice: Sometimes, I can be an idiot. (No, this is not about anything specific.) Sometimes, it's because I'm human, and humans are prone to doing stupid things from time to time. Sometimes, it's because I have a bunch of sleeping disorders, and they can make me extra prone to being stupid. Sometimes, it's because of both. In any case...
If you catch me being an idiot, please let me know. Really, I'd rather know and try to learn from it and try to fix it than just having it left to cause further harm.
3. I do not curse. Just to let you know. If you curse, that's your thing. Me, I try to save those words for when they're really needed. (Upon nearly being killed by a driver swerving into my lane for no reason: "Oh, hell and fragnation!") So when I write "WIF?" it's not a typo. It stands for "What In Fragnation?"
4. In case you haven't come across it, I set up a New Account Fairy post over at
dwrocks. If you don't have a Dreamwidth account and want one, check it out. If you know of someone who wants one, point them there. If you have $3 to spare and want to help make Dreamwidth a little more awesome, take a look at the comments there. Feel free to spread the word on DW, LJ, Twitter, or whatever.

Interesting fact: Burger King is called Hungry Jack's here.

I dunno. Mostly, it's just too weird to comprehend. The fact that they're using sexual imagery to promote kids' toys is just an extra level.
Here, Hungry Jack is a brand of pancake mix. Go figure.

Thanks for pointing it out so I can boycott BK for a while. :)

And boycott seems a good idea, all around.

Please do spread the word. And let people know that commenting now works...
*sigh*
Turns out that even though the comm was set to allow anyone to post, there was another setting, buried in a menu I hadn't even seen, that disabled anonymous and OpenID comments!
