Comment to this post and I will give you 5 subjects/things I associate you with. Then post this in your DW and elaborate on the subjects given.
htbthomas asked me about:
1. Dreamwidth
It's the first thing I've really been excited about in a while now. I'm watching the service come together, and it looks shiny and awesome. The management style is beyond refreshing and clear out to incredible. I'm meeting new people and having fun and everything looks so shiny.
2. Hats
I started going bald back in elementary school. One of my immune system's least harmful attacks, but still... I was embarrassed about it. And my well-meaning mother ended up making me even more self-conscious about it. So I started wearing hats. All the time. Got a decent-sized collection of them. And then, in nerd camp, we needed to pick nicknames to put on our doors. Being cheerfully insane and fond of hats, I went with MadHatter. Which then became my chat room handle. And then HatMan evolved as MadHatter's alter ego for amusing people during lulls. And then random people, almost all of them complete jerks, started using MadHatter in various places and I was getting confused with them. So it became HatMan. Even though I don't wear hats nearly as much as I used to, it's who I am on the 'net.
3. NYC
What can I say? I live nearby. It's The City. In fact, it's so much The City that when I went to Paris as a child, my first thought, looking around in the light of day, was, "Hey! Where's the city?"
It's got everything. Often within 5 blocks of wherever you happen to be standing. It's busy, it's packed, it's exciting, and... it's overwhelming. And sometimes clausterphobic. My first comment (a couple of years before the Paris trip) about the city was "It's too much for me."
I do take advantage, from time to time, of what the city has to offer. But, to me, the best of the city is based out of two apartments in the Upper West Side.
4. Gargoyles
Best Disney cartoon ever. Rich mythology, complex storylines, developed characters, a healthy dose of fun gags, an interesting mix of sci-fi and fantasy... The show had everything. And it was beautiful. It's right up there with Batman:TAS on the list of my all-time favorite cartoons.
5. Inventing
As mentioned in my Dreamwidth profile, I've invented a number of things over the years... only to learn that someone else had beaten me to it, often by years. (Annoyingly, in the case of the Select Comfort mattress, by much less.) I've had a few other things over the years which never really got past pencil sketches. But still, one of these days, I'll come up with something cool and doable that hasn't actually been invented yet. One of these days...

Why does your immune system not like you?

My immune system is a wily thing. No one understands its motivation, though there are plenty of theories being floated about what causes auto-immunity. Perhaps it's confused, perhaps it's overzealous, perhaps it's just FUBAR. All I know is that it's hyperactive and has spent most of the last 30 or so years finding ever more devious and subtle ways to kill me - when it wasn't briefly diverted by some petty external annoyance.
Now for the tricky part. We've only just met. I think I'm going to have to use the cheat sheet for this.
1. Blue eyes
2. Gators
3. Virginia
4. Pets
5. Dreamwidth

BTW, thanks again for the help again with the OpenID thing. Hopefully, all that confusion will be a thing of the past as I was gifted with an invite code from a generous and kind member of the DW community. Time now for some new and sparkly kind of confusion ;-)

I'm not much for anime in general. I've liked a few shows, but in general the hyper-stylization doesn't appeal to me. Was there a Gargs anime? I hadn't heard.
Happy to help whenever I can. Glad I could answer your question. And congrats on getting an invite! :)
Now, 5 things. Hmm. Well I'll start with the easy ones:
1. Dreamwidth
2. Gargoyles
3. Fountain Pens
4. Japanese Culture
5. Detective Stories

Third season, though, actually looked pretty interesting. And the way it was shaping up in the comics was pretty cool. But that got canceled, too, so I guess we'll never know.
I still want to know why they weren't all speaking Welsh-or-whatever when they were awakened, though.
Magic. Duh. ;)
