Thought I woke up with this "morning," which probably won't mean much to most of you:
I am immortal. I have inside me blood of kings.
I have no rival. No man can be my equal.
Take me to the future of your world!
He is Roland Deschain.
The Gunslinger.
(And, I have a feeling... In the end, there can be only one.)
And... looking at the full lyrics, it seems even more fitting. Not 100%, but eerily close.

But how is noting its aptness for Dark Tower as well as Highlander blasphemy? Or do you not like Dark Tower?

Give the man a cupie doll!
Stephen King fills me with loathing. I'm not wholly certain why. But, anyway, I cannot stand any of his writing. DT loses more points for pseudo-Tolkienesque allusions that don't. Make. Sense.
...Boo.

OTOH, I don't give two verdigris-encrusted coppers about Tolkien. I just cannot slog through his books.

:D (I do wonder what would have happened if Bert had been the one to survive Jericho Hill. I kind of want someone to write me fic about it. *g*)

And, for an added wisp of ka... as I was composing this reply in my head whilst driving Mom to the train station, I pulled up at a red light, and the car in front of me was... a Toyota Highlander. (And, BTW, if you read across the line at eye level, it says Toyota Highlander V6. Which is 18 letters. But between the Highlander and the V6 is a keyhole. Which makes 19.)
But lol, I like the image of Bert singing pridefully to his "lookout"...
Or maybe Eddie, Bert's twin? Since he might have actually heard the tune?
