Okay, this is cool.
Peaceful protest topples corrupt government
In short, the government came to power amidst massive electoral fraud last year. This created a bit of unrest, to say the least. The situation came to a head when protesters staged a mass sit-in at the airports last Wednesday.
Today, a court ruled against the Prime Minister, and he agreed to step down. The sit-in will end tomorrow (I guess to make sure that it happens/sticks), and the airports will reopen probably Friday. They'd originally thought it would take longer, but (despite an attack by anti-protest protesters) discovered that there was surprisingly little damage. AP reports a total of seven dead in the whole thing (only one at the airport).
There's still a bumpy road ahead, but... wow.
