Marrow transplant may have cured man of AIDS

It involves a rareish gene which is resistant to the virus. The transplant is more of a proof of concept than a feasible general cure, but it points the way for research. Into gene therapy, which is even more dangerous than the marrow transplant. But less dangerous than living with HIV...

Heard of that (How could I not? It seems like since I moved to Canada, I know more about German news than ever before ;)) and it would be soooo awesome if this was actually a breakthrough...

I didn't get to read the article on this yet, but I did see the headline yesterday...interesting. And awesome, if it proves to be true.
