1. Leave me a comment saying, “Interview me.”
2. I will respond by asking you 5 questionsof a very personal nature.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed you will ask them 5 questions.
1) If you could write yourself into a comic book, which one would it be (which series, or issue, or TPB) ?
Hmm. Tough one. Especially if we assume that I'd be writing myself in - meaning as I am, with no super powers or whatever. And writing myself into, say, Superman means writing myself into the DCU. Working at the Daily Planet, I'd get to hang out with L&C, but I'd probably also get the chance to meet some of the other people of Metropolis, like Supergirl. And maybe I could take a trip out to Gotham sometime. Or maybe someone would come visit. Sooner or later, just about everyone shows up at the DP. But if I wrote myself into Amazing Spider-Man, there'd be Daredevil and the Avengers and the Fantastic Four and a bunch of other guys, all running around NYC. Of course, there's Astro City, too...
Thing is... the Marvel Universe (or Marvel Ultimate) tends to be more realistic and nuanced and interesting. Better to read about. But the DCU is more about clean lines and larger-than-life stuff... I think I'd rather live in the DCU.
So... yeah. Let's say Action Comics. I get to hang out with Lois and Clark, live in bright, shiny, and (relatively) safe Metropolis, maybe even benefit from the advanced medical technologies I'm sure are floating around. And I don't have to worry so much about being casually killed off in a spurt of realism. And let's go with that era when Clark was the real guy and Superman was the disguise. But not too close to Doomsday. Or how about just after the Return of Superman?
Not sure if I answered this one as intended, but I'm not really sure how to answer it any better. So... hope this was entertaining, at least.
2) If you could live absolutely anywhere, which city would you pick and why?
Metropolis? ;)
In the real world... Boston. I love it. You have all the advantages of city life, but you get this comfortable small town feel. (I get claustrophobic in cities sometimes, and I like to have some decent greenery around.) And the New England spirit. And those gorgeous brownstones. And MIT people. And it's not that far from the rest of my family, which is very important.
3) Which celestial body is the most fascinating to you? (and no, Supergirl doesn't count!)
(lol, darn.)
Does Earth count? I guess that's too easy, huh?
I dunno. I don't spend too much time looking into these things. And none of the ones I know of could support life at this point. So it's just looking at these shiny things in the sky which are nifty and all, but... distant and unusable.
Well... Alpha Centauri is a three-star system, and it's our nearest neighbor. I'm curious to know what it's like to have three stars in the same system, and I wonder what else is there.
4) If you had been one of the guys in the movie Weird Science, who would you have made, instead of Kelly LeBrock?
Hmm. And I suppose Supergirl doesn't count here, either? ;)
I'm not really sure how to take this question, actually. Because you named Kelly LeBrock, the actress, instead of Lisa, the character. So are you asking me to pick an actress for her looks? I've always liked Kim Basinger for pure stunning eye candy.
I think a better answer to your question, though, would be Mary Jane Watson. What can I say? Peter and I have many similar qualities. ;)
5) Which fictional villain would you really, really like to punch, and why?
When you get down to it, there are very few people I'd like to punch. I'm a pacifist, you know. And villains... they have heroes to punch them. Also, most of them are much better fighters than I am. It would be a bad idea to punch, say, Metallo. I'd just hurt my hand, and if he chose to retaliate, I'd be in trouble. And if he was helpless, it wouldn't be right to hit him.
I suppose Lex could use a smack upside the head. Dude, you're a genius. Stop being such an idiot. Do you have any idea how much you could have accomplished by now if you'd put that creativity to good use instead of wasting it on attacking Superman? Which, in case you haven't noticed, fails every single time. (Also, Lex, sans purple battle armor, is a non-powered human... much safer to hit. ;) )
And... that's about the best I can do. Probably not quite the answers you were looking for, but the best I could come up with tonight.
And... hoo boy. I wonder how hard it'll be to come up with decent questions for you guys...

5. Good news and bad news. Good news is you just won the lottery. Bad news is you've only got a year to live. What do you do?
