hatman: HatMan, my alter ego and face on the 'net (Default)

I made a small improvement to my sunglasses.

Was planning to paint, but I wasn't sure how well paint would adhere to the hardened plastic (technically "Triloidtm Nylon") frames. Ended up printing a pic on glossy photo paper, turning it into a sticker with a Xyron Sticker Maker*, giving it a couple of clear protective coats, cutting out the two logos (one for each side), and then sticking them in place. Not quite as sleek as the painted-on look, and I'm not sure how long it'll really last, but for now, I'm happy. And, not wanting to waste too much of a 4x6 shet, I've got plenty of replacements available if I need them...

*Mine is the same model, but the casing is clear and the branding is from the Discovery Channel, not Tomy Cella, whatever that is.

Er... not quite what I had in mind, but... I suppose there are worse things to be.

Well, sure. And I am staggeringly awesome.

But can Rosenbaum shoot concussive force beams out of his eyes? I think not!

Well, duh. That should be obvious, even disregarding the fact that he doesn't wear one.

(Though I should point out that HatMan cannot shoot force beams out of his eyes, either.)

Nice :)

(and I have to say that the second pic is too cool - the angle is awesome (and, yeah, I know, probably very random)... although I'd like to see at least a little smile, you know ;))

The angle was planned, more or less. I wanted it from below, so it'd look cooler, and with my head to the side, so the logo would be visible. (As it turns out, you can see my hands holding the camera, reflected in the lens. That was unintentional, but... oh well.)

And hey, I smile for pics, usually. But this is serious business! :D

Thank you. :) I tried to keep it subtle, but it makes me happy. Be interesting to see how many people notice/recognize it...
