FYI, flist... There's a new version of The Great Hatsby. When you update your LJ, if you have your AIM SN in your profile, there's a chance that a bot will catch that and randomly connect you with someone else who did the same. If you try to mention your SN, the bot will replace that with its own name. The latest version makes no mention of hats and the bot names include the word "salmon." And, apparantly, there's an LJ community dedicated to discussing it.

Yeah, I got hit by a salmon. No idea why it's a salmon, unless it's some kind of tribute to Douglas Adams. Luckily, I'd heard of Hatsby from a friend a while back, so I was able to piece together what'd happened. And yeah, my AIM SN is still in my profile. Should mention that it has been in my profile since I created this journal, and it's the first time it's happened.

But now I'm curious to know which icon you used the first time...
