Jury Duty

... I got jury duty. For the first time.

I was wondering what was taking them so long. I mean, I've been eligible for it for over a decade. Part of me has kind of been looking forward to it.

Problem is that I don't know what to do about it. I'd like to serve. But my sleep schedule is all over the place and I can't always drive and I can't always concentrate and... *sigh*

I guess I'll show up and see what they say. Assuming they still want me. I'm supposed to call the night before and see if they really need me.

Hmm, my mom's been called once or twice, I think, but I can't remember if she actually ended up serving or not. How old do you have to be to do it?

18, I believe. You're then entered into the pool. And they call people from the pool randomly, as needed. So you could get called immediately. Or not called for years and years.
