... I got jury duty. For the first time.
I was wondering what was taking them so long. I mean, I've been eligible for it for over a decade. Part of me has kind of been looking forward to it.
Problem is that I don't know what to do about it. I'd like to serve. But my sleep schedule is all over the place and I can't always drive and I can't always concentrate and... *sigh*
I guess I'll show up and see what they say. Assuming they still want me. I'm supposed to call the night before and see if they really need me.

But yeah, you could just go and explain your health problems, and see if they still want to take you.
Ooh! Ooh! And when they ask you if there's a reason that you shouldn't be a juror, you should say that you're Batman. ;)
Okay, maybe you shouldn't. But that was a good comic. And maybe you can still convince 11 other angry people one at a time that the defendant is innocent, and the lone hold-out is just being prejudiced and mean. =D
Oh, and you can scowl at people and look thoughtful. DUDE! You should totally go! =)

lol, no. Unlikely that I'd get a case that serious. And, in any case, I hear NJ just did away with the death penalty.

Well, the thing is the form has a checkbox. Are you physically/mentally able to serve? If not, you're supposed to have a letter from a doctor explaining how and why. So... I could probably do that. But I'm not sure if I should. Ideally, I'd like to serve. It's my duty. But I'm honestly not sure that I'm able.
