Something else I don't get.

Lemons.

I mean, think about it. (And, truth to tell, I don't often spend much time thinking about lemons.)

Lemons are fruit.

What is the purpose of fruit? To move seeds. Animals eat the fruit, the seeds aren't digested, the animals wander off, and the seed gets planted somewhere else. Helps the species spread.

To make this work, the fruit should be tempting. Eating a raw orange fresh from the tree sounds good, right? It tastes good, it's nutritious...

Now, think about doing the same with a raw lemon. A sour, unsweetened, lip-puckering lemon.

What person or animal in his or her right mind would do that?

I don't get it. It's supposed to help the species spread and thrive. Why make it practically inedible?

What were you thinking, Lemon Tree?

Seriously. Can anyone explain this to me?
