For some reason, this random idea has been bugging me on and off for a long while. It came back recently, and I decided to do something about it.

See, I think Christopher Walken needs to come out with his own line of footwear.

"Why?" you ask, looking at me like I'm crazy.

Well, you should know better than that. Of course I'm crazy (in my better moments), but there's generally a method to my madness. In this case, it's because I can't get the image out of my head of Christopher Walken in an ad chanting "These Boots Are Made For Walken."

These boots. Are made, for Walken. And that's, just what. They'll do. These boots are made. For Walken. And they'll walk, pretty well. For you.

Or something like that.

So, finally, I decided to try to do something about it. I found a link on his IMDB profile labled "official site." I followed it, and found something very cool which I'd forgotten. He's running for president. I'm not sure that an independant candidate has much chance in this day and age, but I wish him the best of luck. I think he'd do a good job, and I agree with all the stances he's laid out so far. (Including the idea that we need to break away from the current two party system.)

Thing is, I've been doing some GEing lately. I started reading his extended policy statement (a 4 1/2 page PDF doccument) and couldn't help but notice several typos.

I ended up writing in (using the comment form) with a list of at least a dozen suggested edits. I couldn't help it. I did finish up, though, with both a statement of support and the original suggestion for boots.

Is it just me, or would those boots be the best thing since Catapillar footwear? Small offshoot brand with a cult following, quality workmanship, and unique design... It'd be awesome, wouldn't it?
