I've gone back and forth on this. I hope it's the right thing.
Here's the deal: I'm going to be in Ireland briefly in July. I don't know where you are right now or what you're up to or how you're doing or anything, but it didn't feel right to finally set foot in your home country and not let you know.
More specifically:
July 22: Belfast (until 4pm)
July 23: Dublin (until 4pm)
July 24: Cobh (until 6pm)
I don't expect you to write back. If you do - because you have some suggestion of what I should do or see, or because you'll actually be in the area and might be up to maybe saying hi - great. But there's absolutely no obligation or expectation. My assumption is you won't. But I just wanted to give you the opportunity in case there was a sliver of a chance.

I don't know if you remember this, but years ago I adopted you into my heart as the little sister I never had. You're family. You'll always be family. There will always be a place in my heart for you. I love you, and that means your needs are most important. You've told me that what you need is distance, so I'm doing my best to give it to you. (Like I said, I've been going back and forth on even letting you know I'd be around. And I made sure to change the icon on this post. And, for a while, on my profile. Just to be sure.) But if that ever changes, you will be welcomed back with joy and without hesitation. It's all up to you. Whatever is best for you, that's all that matters.
