Spent the day with an old friend who drove out a couple of hours to see me. (It's not often we're this close.) That was a lot of fun. But I didn't get back to the hotel until 11:30. Didn't get to sleep until midnight. Woke up at 3:30. AHI 1.3. Blood sugar was high again. Fortunately, my experience from the night before made me realize that was a possibility. Must have seriously misjudged dinner. Took a few units of insulin. Managed to get back to sleep around 5:30 or 6. Woke up a little before 11. CPAP seems to think I slept nearly 10 hours, but I guess that includes a fair amount of time lying in bed trying to get back to sleep. By my count, it's 8.5-9.
Total AHI 1.9. I'm not sure what to make of that. CPAP did increase the pressure for me, from 15 to an average of 16. That may have helped. But that's lower than it's been since I've been on the Xyrem, never mind at this altitude. And I had a lot of sleep to make up for.
