Well, here's some good news to wake up to: Catherine Ferguson Academy will stay open! Yesterday would have been the last day of classes. Everyone thought it was. But today it was announced that it's being kept open as a charter school, after all!

I'm sure they could have found it in the budget if they'd wanted to. But they don't believe in short-term spending for long-term gains. Or public education. Or... other things.

But hey, the school stays open. And it's being funded by people they've worked with before, who say they don't want to make changes. That's as good an outcome as could be hoped for.
