Had a weird dream last night. I don't remember most of it. It was already fading as I woke up, as most of my dreams do. But I did manage to jot down the oddest bits.

Seems there were some beings from the land of Faerie. Elves of some sort, perhaps. In my dream, I was writing a story about them, I think. They'd come to our world for the first time, landing in medieval times (I think). They were terrified of pigs because there was no such creature in their world. To them, a pig was as much an alien monster as a beast of Faerie would be to a random human who'd made the jump to their world. Also, I think the presence of the pig interfered with their magic - although I'm not sure if that was because a farm pig was so mundane a creature (or perhaps so much a creature of the earth) as to be anti-magical, because of some psychological thing (their fear of it interfering with their command of magic), or because there was something special about the pig.

I do remember, however, that there was a creature, I think of Faerie. A monster. The closest they knew to a pig. It was big, perhaps the size of a bear. It was covered in gray fur. It had a piggish snout, pointy ears on top of its head, sharp teeth, claws, wings on its back, and a malevolent magical aura. It was a WomBatPig - a monster which appeared to be a magical cross between a wombat, a bat, and a pig.

I don't know. No idea where any of it came from (besides Faerie, of course). But none of it seems very kosher.
