The kids are here for an overnight. Niece brought home the bunny, in need of repairs. (After 8 years, some of the stitching has come undone.) Nephew said something about what he wanted in the toy I was going to make him. He'd forgotten all about Chad Vader. (Not really surprising - he hasn't seen that clip in months, and I never really reminded him about it. Was going to finish the thing and then surprise him.) I told him what I was working on. He's... changed his mind. But I didn't get a clear sense of what he does want. And I've got all this black fabric. (Dad suggested a panther. Nephew now says maybe some kind of alien.) I ended up showing him what I had so far. He was impressed with the fabric. ("Wow! Fancy!") And he loved the plushie. The voice box cracked him up. But... still doesn't seem to want me to make a new body. (Though he'll happily accept the banana peel if I make that.) I may end up giving him the plushie as-is and starting the rest from scratch. We'll see. I'll talk it over with him in the morning.
At least it makes me feel better about having started work so late, only ending up with one boot after six months.
