I was thinking about the Dark Side having Dark cookies. Then I looked in the bread drawer and saw that we had a new package of Oreos. Then I went to sleep. When I woke up, I found I had a sudden desire to make a TIE fighter out of Oreos.

Then I figured that there are a billion other people on the Internet, and they've had plenty of time. Someone else has to have done it by now. So I did a Google search and a Google Images search. I found some neat Star Wars cakes and some even neater Star Wars cupcakes and even a Death Star cookie jar (hey, that rhymes!)... but no sign of a TIE fighter built out of Oreos. Sure, they're round instead of hexagonal, but they'd still make fairly good panels. Not sure what you'd do about the cockpit, though. Unless you scaled the whole thing up... Hmm...

It's not ethical reasons. :x I just can't be bothered. I suppose I could find them at a video rental.

(I wonder what the Greek title for "The Princess Bride" is! It either doesn't really exist, or it's very well-known but irrelevant to the English title so I never made the connection.)

I'll keep those movies in mind to watch with John sometime. There's a video at the place where we usually hang out... hm.

According to IMDB, the Greek title is Treles istories erota kai fantasias.

If you like, I can get you a copy.

But that still doesn't solve the Star Wars issue. So... yeah. Video store. Snuggle up with John and some popcorn and have yourselves a nice little marathon. :)

Will do! We'll go to a videoclub and see what we can dig up. :)

N00by question, which episode of Star Wars are we supposed to watch first? IV? I know IV came out first.

As for The Princess Bride... the Greek title translates as "Crazy stories of love and fantasy". No princesses or brides. And I've never heard of it under that title either. Will keep it in mind though and see if I can find it :)

Thanks for the lessons in geek! ♥

Good luck. :)

I'd suggest starting with IV.

Princess Bride is based on a book by the same name. (The book has some bits that didn't make it to the movie, and is well worth the read by itself. The movie also added some bits that weren't in the book.) But yeah, "a crazy story of love and fantasy" (not sure why it's pluralized) fits the movie just as well as "Princess Bride."

And you're welcome. Anytime. :)
