Sitting in the airport right now. Got another hour before my flight even starts boarding. Found a power outlet in a corner right near my gate, though, and connected to the open wireless network in the first class lounge (wherever that is), so... yay!
Kaylle has been sitting at her gate this whole time, I'm sure. It was practically on the way to mine (down the hall, around the corner... 5 minute walk, give or take). I kind of felt like I should go sit with her for a while, but I wasn't sure she wanted the company, and we have trouble finding things to talk about when it's just the two of us and nothing else is going on. Which is a little sad, considering that she's one of my best friends. I guess that's just the way it goes sometimes. Still feel like a bit of a coward, though.
Anyway...
Had a blast this week. It's going to be hard to go back. We all had trouble saying goodbye at the airport.
Yesterday, we actually managed to tour around a bit more. Really fun day. We toured the Boeing factory and the Sci-Fi Museum, then saw Superman Returns in IMAX 3D.
It's different when there are only 3 people. I missed the other half of the group, but it was nice to have some closer time with Anna and Kaylle. They're two of my favorite people. Both just so cool and so fun (each in her own way). Not that the others weren't fun and cool and all, but there's something to be said for the less diluted experience. It was also easier to make decisions and get around with fewer people to consult and keep track of and all.
Even so, we were all fairly impressed that we actually managed to come up with a list of things we all wanted to do, make a plan, and then follow that plan and do everything on the list.
SR was better the second time. I knew where the 3D transitions were coming, so I was better prepared. And it's easier watching some scenes when you've already seen them and you know what's coming. Like the scene where he faces Lex the first time, and the thing with the one dog.
OTOH, Brandon Routh's nose always looks oversized to me, and when you see a close-up profile on an IMAX screen... His nose is like 20 feet high!
One little thing I noticed: At the end, Lois is sitting at her chair at home, working on her comp. And she has a sweater draped over the back of the chair. I don't know if it was deliberate, but it looks kind of cape-like to me.
I do hope they clear things up about Jason in the next movie. A lot of things. We'll see. As Anna said, the explanation could make or break the whole thing.
Forget what else I wanted to say. It's just been a really fun week. Good friends, and I can hang out with them in person! And there are actually some cool and interesting parts of Seattle. Who knew? *g*
Got plenty of pics to sort through and stuff. I'll see if I can get people together to pick which ones to post (and where and how). Might even get some video, but that won't be publically posted, I don't think. Actually, there's one video clip (not sure if I'll ever be able to watch it myself) that I'm probably going to put up for trade.
just_dan_d, you know what your price is. (Okay, I admit. I can be a little evil. Sometimes. Every once in a while. But really, not very often at all. Really...)
Guess that's it for now. I should get to GEing. More later (pics, at least), when it's ready.
Aww... Dammit. Just realized. Not only did I forget to bring my beanie copter (*sob*)... I never once did my Marvin the Martian impression. (Which, given how long it's been, I'm not even sure I can still do properly.) *sigh* I guess they'll just have to live without it. Poor girls. *g*

Some people I have a hard time finding things to talk about--I'm not sure how it works that some people are easier to chat with than others . . . WAFF was interesting in that the only person I chatted online regularly with beforehand was
I probably won't post any pics at all--I dunno . . . posting my favorites would say too much about them, maybe. And they're all of people, really, so posting them would be not good without permission . . .
I don't know what the video clip is that you referred to, but I'll go for it--what do I have to trade for it? *g*
Marvin the Martian??? What's that?

I guess having everyone go over all of them won't really work out too well. I'll take a look through and see what jumps out at me. Any objections if I decide to post stuff? Do you mind having pics shared? Any you'd like to not be shared?
As for the video... I don't have it yet. Not sure when I will. We'll see. But, fair warning... I don't think you'd really like the music.
Marvin the Martian is a cartoon character. It's been a while, but I used to do a fairly accurate impression of his voice. Spooked a few friends with it. It's fun to do when playing around, and not something I can do too often these days, with mostly text-only contact with my friends.
