Pulled a couple of pics off my phone just now. Been meaning to do it for some time now. I thought I'd had one of the awesome vending machine at the library (which contains such handy supplies as pencils, paper, earbuds, 1 gb USB thumbdrives...) but apparently not. I did, however, find two of interest to share.
It's from the local grocery store. More specifically, the men's room. (That white thing at the bottom of the image is the dryer. The door is just out of frame to the left.)
If you can't read the sign there, it says:

Second is from a while back. I believe it was taken in Puerto Rico, on the trip we took to celebrate my parents' anniversary.
It's a trash can, yes. But the top looks a little funny, doesn't it? That's explained by the words right underneath the Big Belly brand logo. They say "solar compactor."
That's right. It's a publicly-owned freestanding solar-powered trash compactor. How cool is that?
