schnuffichen. Which leaves me with a bit of a dilemma. I haven't been tagged for anything for ages, but I don't really seem to get "into" much music. There's whatever I hear on the radio when I'm driving by myself (relatively rare these days) and there's whatever I have in my MP3 directory, which hasn't really been updated since 2000 (maybe a dozen songs added since then, give or take). But I'll see what I can do...
List 10 songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now, shaping your summer. Post these instructions in your LJ along with your 10 songs. Then tag 10 other people to see what they're listening to.
So, like I said... not much I'm really specifically into right now. So... I'll just skim along and see what pops out. Which, as it turns out, is more than 10. But maybe that makes up for the lack of relevance. And description (since I'm feeling lazy). Not that descriptions are really part of the instructions, but they are kind of nice to read. But you're not getting them. So there. Also, I tried to pick a smattering of songs, but I'm not sure that the ones I picked are really my favorites by the bands listed. Some of them are, some of them, I like the band in general more than any specific song. (I've marked those with a *.) And there are other songs I like, too, of course. But this is what jumped out at me just now, so I'll go with that. And, actually, I'll make it an even 20.
Duran Duran* - Planet Earth
Aerosmith* - Dream On
Bangles* - Hazy Shade of Winter
Beatles* - Yesterday
Blind Melon - No Rain
Bon Jovi* - Livin' On A Prayer
Deep Blue Something - Breakfast at Tiffani's
Enya* - Orinoco Flow
Eric Clapton* - Tears In Heaven
Gin Blossoms* - Hey Jealousy
Eagles - Hotel California
Madonna* - Frozen
Peter Gunn Theme (which I knew first and best as the background music to the video game Spy Hunter)
The Who - Pinball Wizard
REM* - Losing My Religion
Simon & Garfunkel - Sound of Silence
Sophie B Hawkins - As I Lay Me Down To Sleep
Tom Petty - Free Fallin'
U2* - New Year's Day
Weird Al* - The Saga Begins
Tagging... Oh, let's say
alliegee,
beansideirae,
brianamj,
ksarasara, and
leeson. That's only five, but maybe half tags make up for double songs?
(All tags optional. And feel free to consider yourself tagged if you wish to be.)

Like Aerosmith, REM, The Bangles (heeee!), Deep Blue Something, Madonna, Simon & Garfunkel and... oooooh.... WEIRD AL!!! He's my personal god, I'm not kidding you! I have his whole discography and he's just the right thing to listen to when you need a good laugh. Especially like "White & Nerdy", "Amish Paradise", "Canadian Idiot", "You're Pityful" and "A Complicated Song (yeah, so much for "especially"... ;))
I'm really glad you did this - I honestly wouldn't have thought you would.
Got me so much interesting insight :)

lol about Weird Al. I haven't listened to as much of his stuff (especially the newest albums) as perhaps I should, but I've had a lot of fun with some of his songs over the years. (Especially in camp, back when his first couple of albums were released.)
Why would you think I wouldn't do it? Really, I'm curious.
Also, why tag me if you didn't think I'd do it?
And... insight? Hmm. Like what?
Oh, and love poor little Ralphie. Nice one. :)

I didn't think you'd do it because you don't strike me as someone who's too much into memes (and you still owe me one, you realize? :P) - which actually, I find a bit weird because you say you like to answer questions and stuff like that (albeit rather not in some sort of strict questionnaire form)... yet I don't think I remember ever reading one of those "100 questions about my life" memes... so I guess, I simply extended that assumption.
I still tagged you because I didn't tag people because I thought they were likely to do this meme. As I wrote, I tagged those whose answers I was interested in. And so I was in yours :)
As for the insight... that was not meant in any deeper psychoanalytical way. Just that I had no idea what kind of music you like at all. And that you have a rather eclectic taste. And that there are guys who like The Bangles ;)

But thanks anyway :)

And yeah... I do like doing certain memes. Sometimes, I need the motivation of being tagged. Sometimes, I see those 100 questions things and I think about it, but I get tired enough reading through 100 questions and someone else's answers that I don't really feel like doing it myself. But, if you dig back, you'll see that I have done a couple of them over the years. Anyway, I do like answering questions, but I prefer interesting questions. Some of those longer memes, like I said, can get rather tedious.
Ah, makes sense. And thank you. :)
Again, makes sense. And yes, "Walk Like An Egyptian" was a big hit when I was a kid. And I love most of the songs on that CD. :)
