Henry and I just got back from our first therapy dog visit (at our local ARC facility). We weren't allowed to take pictures inside, but it went well. He was excited to meet so many new people. There was one girl with Down's Syndrome who kept following him around, hugging him, grinning, giving him enthusiastic thumbs up, and sitting on the floor with him. He soaked up the love and even dropped his head in her lap.
Others were more shy, but just about everyone (about a dozen in the room) took a turn patting him. He was very gentle, which helped encourage more visitors. A few wanted to adopt him permanently. All in all, I'd say it was a very successful visit for everyone.
