Took some snapshots of a particularly lovely sunset off the balcony. First time I've made use of the "sunset" mode on my camera.
Four shots available here, on flickr. Medium sized version of the most dramatic:

In other news, I had an interesting piece of mail waiting for me when I got home. A $25 AmEx gift card with my name on it. AmEx won't tell me who ordered it (the letter seems to suggest that I did). I have a vague memory that maybe I was due for one for filling out a survey or something a while back, but I'm not sure. Checked things out at Annual Credit Report (the free, gov't mandated site to check your credit report - not to be confused with the ones that advertise on TV and require a subscription and may even sell your info to advertising "partners"), just to be sure, and everything seems clear. So... hey. Free money. Cool. And AmEx's letter even points out that they stopped stupidly charging fees if you don't spend the money on the card fast enough.
So, there you have it. Pretty sunset and free money. :)
