Wanna buy a shuttle?
NASA is transitioning to the new Constellation system (not to be confused with the USS Stargazer) for spaceflight. As part of the transition, they'll be decommissioning the old shuttles and... possibly selling them off. They're currently soliciting ideas, but the main idea so far is to sell off the shuttles to museums and/or schools for educational and historic display. The price? A mere $42 million. Plus $6 million shipping & handling. Engines sold separately. Other shuttle "artifacts" will also become available.
