Well, that was pretty cool.

Was just watching one of my favorite shows, The Colbert Report, when lo and behold, tonight's guest turned out to be one of my favorite profs, Prof Steven Pinker (formerly of MIT).

I took his class on pyschology and the brain several years back. It was a lot of fun. Watching the lectures, interacting (I was one of the few who regularly spoke up in the rather large lecture). Even more fun on those times when I approached him after class. He was busy, but always took time for us.

I still owe him a paper, actually. Had to go on medical leave, and he was gracious enough to offer me an incomplete. Only recently started to look into writing it again. Mom found my old notes a few days ago, when she went back north for a while. So, he's been on my mind, and... there he is, on national television!

Interview wasn't anything really special, though it was fun. He's better when he has more time, and more control. Still... Prof Pinker on The Colbert Report. After Dr. Henry Kissinger, he has got to be the best (for me) surprise (for me) guest (for Steven) on the show yet.

Very cool.

That is all.
