Some international flights may expose you to cosmic radiation.
Which is kind of cool if you believe in the Fantastic Four. Not so cool if you're a frequent transatlantic flier.
Of course, they were looking at worst-case situation - a flight that was over the arctic circle (where protection is weakest) during a solar flare. But still... there is some long-term worry for flight crews.
