Colbert's take on the issue

So... now you know. If you weigh any more than this woman:

Don't bother shopping at Ralph Lauren. The clothes won't fit you.

...

If in some distant future I will one day actually be able to afford any Ralph Lauren, remind me not to buy any.

HOW DO YOU EVEN GET ANY THINNER THAN THAT, SERIOUSLY? It's fugly as hell.

On the other hand, what really gets my goat is the feminists on the other camp alledging that contemporary models are required to be flat-chested and stick-thin is because the majority of designers are gay and their idealized version of beauty is that of an adolescent boy.

I AM SORRY, WHAT?!!

So, if you're gay, you can't grasp the concept of female beauty even in a purely abstract, aesthetic sense? So conversely, straight men will have no idea how to dress themselves or other straight men? Gay men all lust after young boys? Stick-thin and gaunt is "idealized gay male beauty"? Fashion is dominated by gay male designers? If you're a male designer you're automatically gay? (Isn't Ralph Lauren married to a woman? I mean, I kinda hate the guy and the company right now, but before I accuse him of secretly lusting after teenage boys...also no helthy teenager I know looks anything like a preying mantis.)

Just....WHAT?!

GET OFF MY SIDE YOU'RE MAKING MY SIDE LOOK MENTALLY DEFICIENT!
