Realized when I woke up this morning that there was a possible origin for yesterday's unusual dream.
There's a webcomic called Axe Cop. Started a little over a year ago. A then-five-year-old boy was playing around with his older brother around Christmas time, and he came up with this character. Big brother decided to draw it to share with the family. Then others saw it. And it became a huge hit. And now it's being turned into a published comic book series.
The plot comes from the kid. He just comes up with crazy stuff that sounds awesome and/or amusing to him and which works by magical kid logic. Big brother asks questions to elicit further details, fits things together into a more-or-less cohesive story, and then draws it as a comic. It's brilliant. As unabashedly ludicrous as only a kid can be. Where else are you going to find Vampire Wizard Ninja Brothers From The Moon (one of whom also happens to be a werewolf)? Check out this strip - it's in the middle of a storyline, but it probably wouldn't make too much more sense if you came in at the beginning.
Anyway, one of the more recent stories (from this past November) introduced a new superhero - Bat Warthog Man. A man wanted to become a superhero, so he went into the forest looking for mystical animals. A mystical bat and a mystical warthog found him, smacked into each other, merged into a Bat Warthog, and then bit and tusked him.
It's been a couple of months since I read that, but I have a feeling it contributed to the magical WomBatPig from yesterday. Dreams inspired by a six year old's wild imaginings. There are worse things. :)

Nice to have a possibility for the source of your weird dream. :)
